Global Glamour Comes to Lake Tahoe

Just last weekend, Lake Tahoe's South Shore was host to American Century's Celebrity Golf Championship which attracted over 80 celebrities with the likes of Michael Jordon, Charles Barkley and Jack Wagner. Food Network star, Guy Fieri, treated both players and fans to his infamous Pork en fuego sandwiches. Rhoden posted his 8th win with an impressive total score of 74.

If you missed that fun and action you still have time to come up and enjoy Tahoe's most elegant weekend of the summer - Oscar de la Renta's Fashion Show at the Fritz lakefront estate on the West Shore on August lst. A sparkling afternoon is guaranteed for those with champagne tastes and caviar dreams on the water's edge of crystal clear Lake Tahoe. This fashion show extravaganza is the creme-de-la creme of summer events.

Places to go .... people to see .... things to do. Lake Tahoe has it all.

Lake Tahoe isn't just "blue sky"

Three exciting new real estate developments are slated for South Lake Tahoe, just past the Stateline corridor. In a conscious effort to keep Tahoe "blue" all of the projects are going "green".

Just last week, Sierra Colina Village, situated on 18 lushly wooded acres was approved for 50 residential high quality homes and will be seeking Platinum certification through the US Green Building Council.

Across Highway 50 is the soon to be built Tahoe Beach Club development which received the green light several months ago. Boasting exclusive waterfront and lakeview condominiums and estate homes, it will offer residents and visitors a beautiful sandy beach, pool, dock, and, of course, full Beach Club membership.

The neighboring world-class Edgewood Golf Club is the next on the docket. Their plans include construction of a 200+ room upscale lodge. Golf course architect Tom Fazio is consulting on the renovation of this premier West Coast golf facility.

Let me know whether you're into "blue sky" or "greener pastures".
